Introduction
Re-opened in 1994 after
massive refurbishment, the Hotel Savoy is now one of the best hotels in
Prague, as befits a five-star member of the Leading Small Hotels of the
World. Once through the entrance of the hotel's elegant 19th century Art
Nouveau façade all is luxury of the most modern kind.
Location
The hill-top Hradshin
district, which includes the stunning Prague Castle and Strahov Monastery,
is the most visited part of Prague. The Hotel Savoy is just around the
corner from the castle. A few minutes down the hill there's Little Town,
a charming area of intricate lanes. Then comes the famous Charles Bridge
and, over the river, the Old Town and the Jewish Quarter, both about a
15 minute walk from the Hotel Savoy.
Bedrooms
It would be hard to think
of what else they could have put in the rooms to make them more comfortably
luxurious. Each is decorated in tastefully understated fashion and features
air-con, marble bathrooms, at least two telephone lines, fax, mini-bar
with an excellent bonus of free soft drinks, as well as satellite TV,
VCR and PC port. The romantic Savoy Suite and the Grand Presidential Suite
feature a large terraces ideal for cocktail receptions and parties.
Restaurants
Both top class international cuisine (Trout carpaccio with root vegetables
is a typical offering) and traditional Czech food are served up at the
Restaurant Hradcany, a lovely restaurant that features a retractable glass
roof.
Business Facilities
Three conference rooms
able to hold up to 60 people are available. There's also a dedicated business
service which includes secretarial support, translation and meeting arrangements.
